Master Builders Golf Club Members,
Sadly I learned our past member Sam Koukourou passed away last Friday after struggling with illness for some time.
Sam was a MBA of SA Golf Club member for almost twenty years serving on the committee and as a winning Hornibrook captain. Sam attended 16 Hornibrooks.
He will be well remembered as friendly, cheerful, hardworking and a true gentleman.
Our thoughts are with Margie and the extended Koukourou family.
We are arranging a condolence message on behalf of the MBA SA Golf Club to be placed in The Advertiser. It would be appreciated if interstate captains could pass on the news to their members as I am sure many will remember Sam fondly.

Sam was a real gentleman and his friendly face will be missed around his club and future Hornibrook Tournaments. Sam was also a long term friend of our own John Eddington. Greetings all.
It is my sad duty to report that George Christopoulos has died overnight. I understand he was moved into Mary Potter Hospice early last week but took a turn for the worse last night.
George was an extremely hard worker for MBA Golf. He was our immediate past captain. He attended 18 Hornibrooks before his recent illness. The last being in Hobart in 2017.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday 13th November at 11am at The Church of St George 60 Rose St Thebarton.
There will be a brief committal service at 1pm in the Florey Chapel Centennial Park.
This will be followed by a wake at Alexandra's (his daughter) place at Panorama. Address to be advised.
The Club is arranging a tribute in The Advertiser this week.
Our thoughts go out to Christine, Alexandra and his extended family.
